Minimum Credit Limits for our "Low-Rate Secured Visa Credit Cards" by Home Trust - offered through us here at Dominion Lending Centres - for Canada!

You've probably already read that our Low-Rate secured Visa credit card by Home Trust comes with a great low rate of 14.9% - which can obviously save you money compared to a higher credit card interest-rate when it comes to paying your interest payments! It's our best and lowest rate for our secured Visa credit cards: a full 5.09% lower than our No-Fee Secured Visa Credit Card from Home Trust! Or "regular/unsecured" Low-Rate Visas come with rates of 10.9% but that's a different type of unsecured/regular Low-Rate Visa: if you're looking for credit cards for 'bad credit' or an 'easy approval' credit card - then our Secured Low-Rate Visa by Home Trust is exactly what you're looking for!

As you also already know, secured Visa credit cards are 'secured' by either cash or property - and this Low-Rate secured Visa credit card by Home Trust is secured by cash specifically. Yes, we do offer even lower rates for secured Visas secured by home property - but if you're looking for an 'easy approval' credit card or a 'bad credit credit card' - then you'll want to probably stick with these Home Trust Visas that are secured by 'cash' specifically.'

So let's get to the point of this page: what is the minimum credit limit for our Low-Rate secured Visas?

Anywhere from $500 and up to $10,000 - depending on your cash deposit of course! Now don't worry: first off - any cash deposit that you make for your new Low-Rate Visa Card IS refundable if you ever decide to cancel your paid-off Visa. AND it's the norm to put down a cash deposit for a 'secured Visa' - it's your cash that 'secures' your new credit card. But more importantly, you should know that we offer one of the lowest cash deposit requirements in Canada: some banks and other credit card companies may only ask for cash deposits under $1,000 - but their credit cards might not be for bad credit or be easy approval like our Home Trust secured Visa credit cards are!

So we said all that to say this: your minimum credit limit for your new Home Trust low secured Visa credit card is whatever amount you choose between $500-$10,000. If you're someone who has encountered a bad credit situation (it happens, don't beat yourself up about it) you may not want to put out too much cash for a cash deposit - and can stick to the minimum of $500 - a ton of our clients do that! Then as your situation improves and you have some extra cash, you can increase your limit. Or if you're looking for an easy approval "first credit card" - and you don't have bad credit - you can still start with the minimum of $500 - but if you know you have bigger bills you need to pay with your new Home Trust Visa - you may decide to start with a higher cash deposit/limit if you have the extra cash on had to do so. The choice is yours!

Whichever minimum credit limit you choose - you'll end up with a great Home Trust Low-Rate Visa Credit Card: that will allow you to shop and pay bills like a regular credit card, allow you to build a credit history - and you'll get to do all that with a great low credit card rate of 14.9%!
